"Who is King of The Birds?" (Cé bhuil Rí na nÉan?) challenges us to RE:THINK and RE:PURPOSE our exploitative view of nature.
Rising water represents the consequence of over-consumption of natural resources: a threat to our sustainability. I’m overwhelmed by these issues, and my role in this.
In Irish folklore, the wren is king of all birds. It perches on man’s crown of thorns – a parody of our folly in separating ourselves from nature and treating it as our subject. The wren calls us to RE:THINK our role as citizens of the natural world and to RE:PURPOSE our creativity to restore balance.

Caring for your art
Unpack carefully! Don't use a knife or scissors to cut through packaging. Remove tape carefully.
Handle your print by the edges. Skin has oils that can mark your print or cause it to discolour over time.
A2 and larger size prints: remove carefully from the tube. Place a small weight on each corner before you frame the work. Don't try to roll it 'backwards'.
Framing: buy the best you can afford to ensure many years of contented viewing. Look for acid free, archival quality materials, UV protective glass and if you're not confident, it's best to work with a professional framer.
Display: keep your print away from strong UV light sources to ensure longevity and to avoid fading. Don't display in humid places (like bathrooms or kitchens).
