The Cailleach ('Koil-yak') is a formidable figure from Irish myth. A harbinger of Winter, she commands the wind and frosts. She can transform into a bird, wolf
or deer. Wizened and ancient, she also wields the power to shape rocky landscapes bare-handed.
She leans into the change of seasons, in a mountainous cloak. Half of her wizened face is in shadow, while her antlered crown of withered winter branches reaches for the Springtime sun. The Cailleach reminds us that all things change and that all life is seasonal.
Unframed, hand-made original drawing.

Returns policy
All purchases are final.
Refunds are ONLY provided in the unlikely event that there is a flaw in the print. Prints are carefully checked before they are packaged. However, if you believe that yours has arrived with a flaw, please contact me with photos.
Unpack carefully: you are responsible if you damage the artwork. There is no refund for prints that have been damaged by opening.
Do not use a knife, scissors or other sharp object to cut through packaging.
Caring for your art
Unpack carefully! Don't use a knife or scissors to cut through packaging. Remove tape carefully.
Handle your print by the edges. Skin has oils that can mark your print or cause it to discolour over time.
A2 and larger size prints: remove carefully from the tube. Place a small weight on each corner before you frame the work. Don't try to roll it 'backwards'.
Framing: buy the best you can afford to ensure many years of contented viewing. Look for acid free, archival quality materials, UV protective glass and if you're not confident, it's best to work with a professional framer.
Display: keep your print away from strong UV light sources to ensure longevity and to avoid fading. Don't display in humid places (like bathrooms or kitchens).
